Two years ago the Phillies were still World Series hopefuls, Charlie Sheen was participating in a public meltdown, and Detroit had yet to hit the “Bankruptcy” slice in their Wheel Of Fortune.

Good grief. Simpler times.

It was then that I first met Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., two friends from the Motor City who specialized is soulful electronic harmonies. We gathered on a weird couch below the Liacouras Center and talked sports, pickling, and of course “Tiger Blood“.

Today, the Tigers are still competing for a championship, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.  has just dropped a fantastic second full length called “The Speed Of Things“.
