Michael Cera And Friends Give Islands Some Proper Canadian Love
After a summer of Jay Z being an app, and Arcade Fire being a street chalk viral video that took all the devices in my house to watch, it’s nice to see a band get down the old fashion way. Have someone famous like your stuff.
Canada’s Islands released the impressive album “Ski Mask” last week. It has apparently found a fan in fellow Canuck Michael Cera, who used the force of his famous friends and his YouTube channel (who knew?) to give Islands the Spinal Tap treatment.
“There’s only three bands in the world that really matter: Uncle Kracker, Smash Mouth, Matchbox Twenty, and Islands.”
