This weekend was the Popped Music Festival. Originally scheduled to be an outdoor adventure at FDR Park, but moved indoors at the Liacouras Center to avoid a Noah’s Ark situation.

One of the bands playing the first night was Cage The Elephant. Lead singer Matt Shultz takes over the stage in thrilling fashion. Overcome by the music and thrusting himself onto (and sometimes into) the crowd. Yet before the show he’s much more reserved. Yet even with his quiet easy demeanor we managed to discuss murder and underwear.
